New Beginnings

We made it. This is the last daily post I will make on the site. Of course I will continue to write on the blog during the next few months, especially about the presidential campaign. But you will notice that the site will begin to change starting today.

The first change you will see is the URL address for this page. The new address will move from keithboykin.com to keithboykin.com/blog2. The main address for the site will remain the same, but the keithboykin.com URL will soon point to a different entry page. We are also in the process of redoing the other pages of the site, including the bio page, the media page, speaking page, books page and contacts page. It's a work in progress, and it all begins right now.

I don't have all the answers to how this will work, and some of it will evolve by trial and error. This blog page should still be available and accessible for months (although under a different URL address), and the plan is to permanently preserve the articles and comments written here.

If you have any suggestions on how to make it work, please feel free to let me know. I am open to constructive ideas.

And don't worry about the future. I still have plenty of new content to offer. I have interviews I've never finished writing and guest articles that I've never published that are ready to be posted in the coming weeks.

If you would like to stay in touch with me or stay posted on new developments with the site, I urge you to sign up for the mailing list today. It is the best mechanism to stay informed about the changes with the site. Simply go to keithboykin.com/contact, enter your email address, and follow the instructions from there.

In the meantime, I want to take a moment to reflect on where we've been. It has been a wonderful journey the past 5 years, and I couldn't have done it without you. So as we celebrate the end of the year, I also celebrate the end of the site as it once existed. I know deep in my heart that when one door closes, another door opens. And I am confident that the new doors will be even more exciting and rewarding than the ones that are closing.

Thank you once again for your support.

Happy new year!

I haven't been a regular reader or contributor to this site but it was nice having it around. Many rich blessing for your future. I can't help but wonder if another Clinton in the White House means another Boykin in White House?

I hope that for the next phase of your internet presence, you address the reality of gentrification and the way it is displacing people of color. By that I mean the way WE are coping with this phenomenon, not just some harsh words Andrew Sullivan hears in the hood. Most of us will never survive the overhaul of our communities, even though you and Nathan have made it to the big time.

Thanks for all your support guys. We still have a few bugs to work out in integrating the old site with the new version of the site. We hope to have it all fixed in the coming days.
