Just finishing up this long essay-like book ... I enjoyed Scott's candor and honesty throughout, including his male-on-male experimentation growing up (something MANY BROTHERS will never, ever admit or hone up to) ... It was a quick read, although a little redundant in some areas and a little self-asbored on his part ... BUT it was a very good look at a very taboo subject ... I just wish he had inserted pictures ..LOL!!!

No Pictures!!! Two thumbs down :-). I've seen some biggies in my day and the biggest (and smallest) I've seen have been on Black men. That's not to say others don't swing meat, but some stereotypes do have an element of truth. I will continue my search for the truth! :-)

Nobody has ever said that ALL black men have big dicks.

But I've slept with men of all races...

...and I can say that if you randomly put any 200 white men on the LEFT SIDE and 200 black men on the RIGHT SIDE.....20 out of 200 White men will have a big dick

....and 100 out of 200 black men will have a big dick.

And the expert she had on the show...some white woman....said that in general it is true that BLACK MEN have the BIGGEST DICKS.....WHITE MEN come next....and ASIANS overall have the smallest. You shoul dahve seen the eyes of them WHITE WOMEN opening up. Size doesn't matter in the long run. Still, this book sounds like an interesting read. If I weren't 16, white, and in South Carolina, I would buy it. I can wait.

PERHAPS, MAYBE on average men of African Descent have larger penises but I've seen some non African men who've packed wallops, too. As for me, I'd say I'm average but I've never had any complaints. Besides, where does true "manhood" really lay? Is it between the legs or between the ears? Sure, a penis identifies the gender but is that all that makes a man a man? Personaly, I'd rather be known for how smart & intelligent I am than for the size of my dickie wickie.

That's a myth that we didn't even create & we try to live up to it. I think a lot of us get caught up in the whole myth thing because we are for the most part still disenfranchised & feel that if we can't "beat" the white in any other area, we can kick ass in this one. It's like replacing brains for dick or having dick for brains. I say lets start finding other things to be proud of. Believe me, there is so much. I mean, sooooooooooooo you got 11 inches? What do you want, a medal? An 11 inch dick won't save the lives of our Black children, dying before their time because of drugs & gang violence, will it? We all can't ride that dick to where we want to be politicaly, socially, & economically, can we? If so, somebody please let me know because I'll be the first to jump on!

I'm a tad bit upset that there are no pictures. However, because I'm interested I'll get the book. We'll see where it goes from there. I've seen mostly big dicks on black men. The other races I've seen have all been on flicks or strippers. I tend to agree that in a random sample of black, white, and other men, there will be more big black dicks. I'm not into biology or anatomy or history for that matter, so I can't explain it. But, I will say that I'm glad I'm black....! LOL

The only reason I can see for it being important would be to determine whether or not size is a factor in condom failure, and if, for instance, some population groups (not necessarily race-based since it's not even a viable biological category, but rather an enduring social costruct) would subsequently be more vulnerable to condom failure. That would certainly have important implications for rates of HIV transmission as well as other STI's and unplanned pregnancies.

Perhaps it's about time we put it to rest and accepted the ethnic rules of endowment. Each ethnic group has some defining feature that is indicative of their race. While there are no "quantifiably certain" data on the subject, it is a simple fact that penis size is based on the amount of skin available and the capacity of the blood vessels inside. Then consider that we Black folk have a little more flesh to work with. After all, we have larger noses and bigger lips. So why not have larger penises too?

Would that extra skin found on the eye folds of Asian people be enough to make up the difference for them? Perhaps, but of course, I don't think that's why Asian people have smaller penises, but it's just another way of looking at how tissue is distributed over the bodies of different people. Sure, it's a superficial aspect of life for some of us. Yet, as we can see here, many of us will readily take the chance to affirm our own "superiority" in this particular area--and I've never, ever, heard Asian people brag about how far the folds of their eyes go out.

On the other hand, I think it's obvious, as the author appears to have covered in the book, that, in general, everyone seems to be more fixated on the size of a penis than the "owner" of the massive tool. Contrary to popular belief, there are some notable drawbacks to having a larger-than-average penis. They are compounded by the obvious reality that it really does effect the way people react to us as Black men. (Just as larger breasts do for women...while they suffer with back pain...) I think any Black man that has had the experience of the white woman or man who was way too touchy/feely with that look of totally erotic anticipation knows that the rest of the world has some pretty significant "expectations" about all Black men. People will look at their crotch instead of their faces to listen to them, again, just like what women with large breasts face. Because of this, I disagree with those who feel that we should overlook the matter in search of other "things" of which we can be proud. We really need to settle the matter once and for all and try to somewhat demystify the Black penis. Then we can move on to those other stellar qualities Black men may possess. It's nice to be the subject of fascination, but it has been somewhat problematic, to say the least!

Of course, not ALL Black men are hung. Furthermore, I dated a Japanese man once who could shatter any stereotypes about Asian men. Even if white men did have smaller penises, the mixtures of ethnicity in America should make it really difficult to apply any stereotypes. Anyway, the anecdotes I've heard suggest that it is not the size of the ship, but the motion in the ocean...

This is seriously the most vainglorious and absurd posting that I have read in a long time here at KeithBoykin.com...yet I am strangely amused...I am a black male that refuses to be defined by my penis size and yet I am aware that others may make that judgement for me in ways that I can not influence or deny...I do resist any need for self-glorification or disclosure of measurement as I am reminded that I must be known for something much more than some random inches between my legs...it is a shame that so many black men have been reduced in the greater society by white and black, men and women alike to nothing more than those inches...resist the praises as it is a matter to distract you from your true glory as black men...inner strength and self-direction works better than Viagra.

I find this book and convo very intriguing because, the penis holds a lot of power. Not trying to be funny. The black stereotype goes back further than the dick. The black man since his inception into American society has always had to be an alpha male. When it came to slavery, he was favored more than the Native American because he was stronger and more immune to failure. The captors kept knowledge from him because they knew if he possessed both knowledge and strenght he'd be a threat to their comfortable society.

In the Jim Crow era, the black man was christened a "brute." He was a sexual threat to the white woman and the white man as well. It was always hypothesized that the black man had all this strength and power and was well endowed. Everyman wants to be an alpha male. The alpha male is just an all-around "beast." A champion in the world as well in the bedroom. And let's just admit it, you ain't about to win a baseball game with a paddle. You need a Louisville slugger!

In the Civil Rights Movemant Era, the black man was represented by the likes of Malcom X, MLK, Jr. and James Evans from Good Times. He was the bread winner. He was a way-maker. He carried his family on his shoulder. Marriages in that era seemed to last longer to. Let us not also forget that marriages were no longer arranged. That meant in the gutter of our minds, that granny wasn't finna shake up with no lightweight one minute man to spend the rest of her life with.

Finally, today in sex-crazed america. Where dancing often elludes to the sexual gymnastics a black man can perform. As a matter of fact, we have been displaying our rhythm and flexibility for centuries. Only now, we as a whole, do it like no other. They way our hips grind and gyrate. They rhythm. The power. All of that draws the imagination to the pelvic region. He ain't doing all of that art-work with no damn pencil, surely.

You see people, the penis not only equates a good time but, a reminder of power, brute, stamina, and control. Whether he displays it or not, America sees strength in the black man. But as a society we stereotype that power down below the belt to the pelvic region. Because if you can't rule the bedroom, then you damn sure can't conquer the world.

Our preoccupations are truly sad.
But it's a reality, the size of women's boobs or the dimensions of a man's member...rather than say the size of their hearts and brains, is a commentary on our priorities and where we most care for improvement.
On the national stage, breast size and penis size...or sexual orientation are the content of one's character-the merit on which one is most attracted to someome else at first glance.
These physical attributes transcend race or culture, usually.
Asia has had a long standing obsession with sex organs and aphrodisiacs.

I am a Cuban/Black male 26 who is consider by most hung (10 in cut) and mostly I get mad when folks find out or see my size and automatically just want sex - they don’t take the time to even get to know me and when I tell them size doesn't matter they laugh at me and say yeah right you know you should be a stripper- there is more to a person then just the size down there

The book is so not worth the full hardcover price, I was done with the book in less than 2 hours(I read it at a local Barnes and Noble)...the writing is simple and the comments in my opinion bring no clear insight to anything...being 37 years old, all of these things are old hat for myself...I have heard them all and therefore the book offered no surprises...the exploitation of black dick size by whites and blacks in all areas life and the media is nothing new to myself...the porn business and sports business have used this tool (pardon me) extensively...it would be far better if black men (gay and straight) where to get hard, show themselves and talk (not suck) about their penis size and what it means to them...that is where the conversation is really lacking, because black men truly hide behind the zipper and create an illusion of reality...

I don't expect there to be any difference between Germans and Polocks in this area. The discussion of penis size is one of race, not culture or ethnicity. The majority of differences between Germans and Polocks are only cultural. They are basically the same race. All Germans and Polocks are members of the Caucasoid race. Black people are negroid.

For example, the distance between the bridge of the nose, and the back of the skull (the occipital lobe) is greater among Negroids than any other race. This is important in determining the race of a person found after they have lost all their fleshy tissue. (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negroid).

Therefore, the statement that "we are all the same inside" isn't actually true...

to women are not "infibulated"....the penis feels best if it is wide/thick and medium length, no longer than 5, 6 or 7 inches. That's the ultimate pleasuring.
